Dave has over 40 years of direct energy commodity trading, management, at senior level positions. Including but not limited to marketing management in natural gas, crude, NGL’s and power markets. The Patriot group of companies began in 2002 and has experienced perpetual growth since.
Prior to founding the Patriot companies, his career began as a Landman at Murphy, Land Manager at Poco Petroleum where he was promoted into the marketing department to trade the Pacific Northwest Market. He was Vice President at Natural Gas Clearing House, SemCanada and Aquila Corp as Vice Present of Origination for natural gas and power out of Calgary and Denver CO.
Leading the Patriot group of companies, Dave trades energy commodities across Canada and into the US for both producers and industrial end users. His experience includes trading on several platforms, banking institutions in both physical and financial markets. Dave is actively involved in the power generation market and development of cogeneration projects.
Dave holds and MBA in Energy and Sustainability from Robert Kennedy College in Zurich Switzerland combined degree with the University of Cumbria in the UK. His undergraduate degree is from the University of Alberta.
